Thomas Hardy's pioneering spirit and passion for winemaking spans five generations and is at the heart of our outstanding range of Hardys Wines. In 1861, Tintara was founded by Dr Alexander Kelly, one of the pioneers of the South Australian wine industry. Then in 1876, a young Thomas Hardy purchased Tintara as he recognised the potential that lay within the unique soils of McLaren Vale and made it his mission to create wines that were a true expression of his remarkable region. Tintara is still the home of Hardys and remains a testament to quality winemaking, combining age old methods and new technology.

A person must not sell or supply liquor to a person under 18 years old on premises where the sale or supply of liquor is authorised or in a public place. Maximum Penalty $5500. South Australia: Under Liquor Licensing Act 1997, Liquor must NOT be supplied to persons under 18. Western Australia: WARNING. Under the Liquor Control Act 1988, it is an offence: to sell or supply liquor to a person under the age of 18 years on licensed or regulated premises; or for a person under the age of 18 years to purchase, or attempt to purchase, liquor on licensed or regulated premises.
