The Macallan Double Cask 12 Years Old forms part of our Double Cask range which marries the classic Macallan style and the unmistakable sweetness of American oak. This is a fully rounded single malt in perfect balance, with flavours of fudge, citrus and soft spice. Notes of candied lemon citrus and smooth fudge are just two of the defining flavours of The Macallan Double Cask 12 Years Old. Looking closely, subtle hints of vanilla can be seen in the still life, with the two-tone purple chiffon fabric a nod to the marriage of American and European oak sherry seasoned casks, the defining feature of the Double Cask collection. TASTING NOTES Colour: Harvest sun – 100 percent natural. Aroma: Fudge with candied orange and lemon, alongside vanilla and sweet oak. Palate: Milk chocolate raisins and creamy toffee, balanced with orange peel and gentle spice. Finish: Medium with sweet oak.
